I Am Your Baby, You Love Me!

Tashu loves English songs she can sing lyrics of. One of the ones, she is fascinated with these days is Mother sung by Meghan Trainor. 

Sometimes I use the lyrics of Mother to make Tashu listen to me. 

So the lyrics go like

I am your Mother, you listen to me!

Stop all that mansplaining, noone's listening

Tell me who gave you permission to speak?

I am your Mother, you listen to me!

One day, when I started singing the words of this song to make her listen to me...


Me: I am your Mother, you listen to me!

Tashu: I am your baby, you love me!

😂😂😂

Now whenever I start singing this song, she has the above as a ready answer. And no-one can deny that she is right!

 I could hear an incoming call while my daughter was watching YouTube Shorts on my phone.  Me: Tashu, give me my phone. Someone is calling me. Tashu  (with a wonder in her voice) : God is calling you! I am flabbergasted... " Uh...What?!? " goes in my mind. I take the phone from her to see who is calling and... Turn Your Video On!

Tashu is a people's person! She loves being around people. She likes to stay out of home too for that reason.  My mother-in-law had taken Tashu to the neighbor's place. As usual, Tashu did not want to come back home when my mother-in-law asked her to. She already knew it is not time for Mumma or Papa to be back home so no need to go back as well.  Smartly, my mother-in-law called my husband and asked him to call Tashu and tell her that he is home and she should come back.  Amit (calling my mother-in-law's phone to talk to Tashu) : Tashu, where are you? Papa is home. Please come back Tashu: You are home? Amit: Yes Tashu: Show me. Turn your video on!  😂😂😂 Everyone burst out laughing at the smartness of a nearly 5 year old. She wanted proof that her father is home, before trusting his words about it! 😎 Of course my husband was in office, and so could not turn his video on to show that he is at home. He was not, afterall!
